Quincy Cuvée Terroir Chaumoux 2021

(Price per bottle: sent in boxes of 6 bottles)

The vines of Chaumoux in Brinay, planted at the end of the sixties, are rooted into red and orange gravels of clay. A part of the massal selections planted on our vineyard comes from this plot.

Their grapes are usually the last to be picked and they offer powerful and fleshy wines, fitted with this mineral salinity that works wonders on seafood.

In line with our cuvées Sucellus and Vieilles Vignes, the Terroirs Collection is declined in 4 distinct vintages, each originating from a plot of old vines, vinified in oak barrels aged of 7 to 8 years using wild yeasts.

Wine tasting sheets

A delicate nose, slight anise and mineral notes that open up on smokey flavours emphasized by a touch of citrus fruit such as mandarin and kumquat.
The mouth is ample and silky with notes of lime peel. The powerful body is highlighted by a very refreshing peppermint finish.

« Né sur un terroir de graves argileuses, ce vin s’ouvre sur des notes racinaires (gentiane) et fumées puis évolue vers des arômes de coing cuit. On les retrouve en bouche où la matière patinée régale les papilles d’une tension acidulée. Un vin qui exprime une vraie personnalité. » (Cuisine et Vins de France, Hors Série Spécial Vins, août 2023)
