Quincy Sucellus 2018

19,50

(Price per bottle: sent in boxes of 6 bottles)

This vintage is elaborated with a selection of our old vines, of which half is planted on clay gravels and the other half on sandy gravels.
Vinified and aged a year in oak barrels from the Berry in our underground cellar, the barrels are then blended together and aged for a year in a tank, then again for a year in the bottle, before being put on the market.

Powerful wine, with complex aromas, rich of exotic savours mixed with walnuts.

Will pair beautifully with seasoned and spicy meals. Smoked fish, a pan of fried scallops, dishes with curry…

To enjoy between 3 and 8 years. Although our wines do keep longer!

Wine tasting notes

Nice golden rays liven up its colour. Its nose is full of ripe fruit flavours (peach, mango) blended with well-polished notes of vanilla. Round and unctuous, the mouth expresses aromas of gingerbread paired with delicate touches of wood, highlighted by a pleasant vividness. “A nice grape maturity, a good dosage of wood, a wine that is very well elaborated”, according to the jury of the Wine & Barrel Competition.

Wine and food pairing

At the aperitif with an 18-month ripened comté, with a salers or an époisse.
It can be enjoyed with chicken, scallops with curry, snails or smoked fish (eel, salmon).
