Quincy Domaine du Tremblay Vieilles Vignes 2021

14,20

(Price per bottle: sent in boxes of 6 bottles)

This vintage is elaborated with the grapes from 4 of our vineyard’s plots of old vines aged from 45 to 65 years, of which half are rooted into sandy gravels and the other half into clay gravels.

This delicate and well-balanced wine, which is aged on fine lees, has a supple and soft attack, fine, it slowly evolves into ripe fruit.

This vintage should be tasted slowly to extend the pleasure. Dare to try it on a foie gras or a carpaccio of scallops!

To enjoy between 2 to 6 years. Although our wines do keep longer!

Wine tasting notes

A nose that opens up on very ripe white fruit, on spices with slight vanilla hints and on candied and jammy citrus fruit. An ample mouth beginning with a light pastry sweetness, followed by the return of the acidity, which structures the whole set. An unctuous and powerful wine.

« Mineral with accents of candied citrus fruit, this vintage gives the leg up to foie gras. » (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve 2019) Ample and rich, the Quincy Vieilles Vignes is gifted with lots of freshness, with a nice sustained tension, which gives it length and dynamism.

Wine and food pairing

Serve between 10 and 12°C as an appetizer with smoked fish (trout, salmon…) or with small pastry puffs with époisse cheese (the famous ‘gougères’). It goes perfectly with white meat (stuffed capon or turkey cutlets on a creamy mushroom sauce). But the secret is to taste it with pan-fried scallops and a purée of parsnip.
