And here’s the last born of our Collection Terroirs, still made with Sauvignon Blanc, but grown on the Reuilly appellation this time! Les Coignons, named after the vine plot planted in 2012 on a kimmeridgian clay-limestone slope, is vinified with indigenous yeasts and aged for a year in a vat. This plot gives us wines with a beautiful tension, a powerful salinity and notes of citrus fruit strengthened by the freshness of 2021 vintage.
The Collection Terroirs is made of 5 distinct cuvées, 4 of which are AOC Quincy wines, each from a specific plot of old vines vinified in 8 to 9 year old oak barrels and/or a concrete ovoid shaped vat, with indigenous yeasts. And from now on, Les Coignons, an AOC Reuilly wine, has joined the family.
Psst, go and have a look at our blog article Les Coignons, l’histoire d’une parcelle to know more about this teroir!!
