Better known in Alsace than in our central lands, Pinot Gris does however exist in Reuilly! It is classified in the rosé colour section, yet it is vinified like white wine! Its colour stems from the colour pigments (anthocyanins) contained in the skin of Pinot Gris berries (skin maceration).
Why not try an alcoholic fermentation of the grape skin of Pinot Gris in Reuilly? Semi-Orange Wine, this Gris will accompany a spicy meal given its structure and power! First tested in 2018 by ageing it in old barrels of Sucellus, here we go again in 2020, this time aged in a concrete egg-shaped tank.
Almost a white wine in both color and white-fruit flavors, this suggests fresh apples and the merest hint of red fruits. Bright and fresh, it is ready to drink. –ROGER VOSS Wine Enthousiast
Its drinking life will carry on for 1/5 years. Although our wines do keep longer!

Wine tasting notes
The orange colour of this Pinot Gris, more intense than that of our Pinot Gris Les Lignis, comes from the skin fermentation. A powerful nose with notes of very ripe fruit. It’s also to the skin fermentation that it owes its structured and powerful final, leaving bitter touches of bloody orange in the mouth. The final is tannic and spicy due to the infusion of the Pinot Gris berries during alcoholic fermentation and enveloped in a creamy sweetness typical of 2020.
Wine and food pairing
The Gris of Reuilly are the perfect match for the Pâté de Pâques or a plate of charcuterie or a potato galette! If you seek more exotic adventures, dare to try the recipe of snack gambas on a ginger soya sauce.
