This vintage is made from the blending of free-run wine (the famous ‘vin de goutte’) and press wine (‘vin de presse’) before being aged for 9 months in oak conical tanks. Powerful and ample wine, concentrated of black fruit and structured on a spicy backbone.
It will go with poultry, red meat and game. Dare to try it on a spicy meal.

Wine tasting sheets
Pretty carmine colour with purple highlights. A nose that is complex, powerful, subtle, spicy on notes of violets and very ripe red fruit. The tannins are ample, roasted and silky. Ends with a persistent fresh and roasted finish.
2018 vintage offers a powerful and ample wine, concentrated and structured on a spicy backbone.
The nose is rich of candied aromas marked by black fruit.
It will keep 6 to 8 years easy.
Wine and food pairing
With a terrine as an appetizer or a carpaccio of red tuna, a spicy aubergine caviar or else, for supper, goes with a beef stew cooked with beer and gingerbread (the famous ‘Carbonade flamande’).
