This beautiful selection of Pinot Noir planted on a terroir of clay gravels in Preuilly and on kimmeridgian marl (clay and limestone) at the Coignons gives fresh, fleshy, round and balanced wines. Cherries, raspberries on a spicy and cocoa bouquet mark this nice aromatic pallet.

Wine tasting notes
Carmine colour with pretty ocre reflections. A complex nose with notes of morello cherries and cherry pits, followed by fresh and spicy red fruit aromas. Although it leaves a global impression of freshness in the mouth, this wine is far from lacking roundness. In addition to the red fruit, the mouthfeel reveals spicy notes and an enjoyable peppery touch in particular. In the end, a salivating final that feels like bloody orange.
« D’une expression réservée au premier abord, jouant dans le classique et la subtilité, l’olfaction évoque la framboise et la myrtille. La bouche se montre onctueuse, veloutée, d’un bon volume, soutenue en finesse par des tanins souples. » (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2024)
Wine and food pairing
Particularly savoury at the aperitif with charcuteries and pata negra ham! You will also enjoy it with roasted poultry or grilled red mullets. And the must, for a festive supper, is veal sweetbread (the famous French ‘Crépinettes de ris de veau’) with oyster mushrooms.
