This cuvée comes from the grape variety Genouillet, a long-gone vine cultivar that used to cover more than 3,000 hectares of the Issoudun area, in the Indre department. It is already mentioned in 1224 in La Bataille des Vins by Henri d’Andeli. The survival of the Genouillet only hung by a few strings: after nearly disappearing due to phylloxera, it was reborn in the years 2000 in the loving and caring hands of winemakers tied to the strings of the past, to prepare for the future! In 2023, we planted half an hectare in our vineyard at the lieu-dit les Gueuchères. A red wine with a rich, rounded character, fresh, fruity and spicy.
